In the payment methods field of a payment rule, you can enter the name of a payment method that is not in the list directly. By entering the name shown at checkout and choosing a match type, you can hide payment methods that are not in the list as well.
(1) Check the payment method name at checkout
Go to your store's checkout and check the display name of the payment method you want to hide. Name matching is judged against the text shown at checkout.
(2) Enter the payment method name in the payment rule
In the "Payment methods" field of the payment rule, enter and add the name you checked, and choose a match type (Exact match, Starts with, Ends with, Contains).
(3) Save and enable the payment rule
After saving the settings, select "Enable".
Names are compared with case sensitivity.
If the payment method name differs by language, register each one. For example, KOMOJU's "Paidy" displays as "あと払い(ペイディ)" in Japanese and "Paidy" in English, so you register both.
Payment methods selected from the list also automatically target related names. "Shopify Payments" also targets Apple Pay, Google Pay, Meta Pay, and Shop Pay; "銀行振込" also targets "Bank Deposit".
To hide the Bogus Gateway test payment method, register "(for testing) Bogus Gateway".
