In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize
Select the App embed tab at the bottom left of the theme editor
Enable RuffRuff Order Limits and save
If you skip this step, product messages will not appear on product pages.
In the RuffRuff admin, go to Product quantity rules
Click Create rule
Configure the following settings and save:
Title — Internal rule name (not shown to customers)
Limit details — Minimum quantity, maximum quantity, increment, and applicability
Eligible items — All items, specific collections, specific products, or product tags
Product message — Message displayed below the cart button on product pages
Alert message — Error message shown when the limit is violated
A paid plan subscription is required to enable rules.
Even when testing on a development store, subscribing to a paid plan (test mode) is required.
Change the status to Enabled from the rule list or edit screen, then confirm that the alert message appears when a quantity exceeding the limit is added to the cart.
