Delivery rules let you control which delivery options are shown at checkout based on conditions for language, customer, product, and order.
Before creating a delivery rule, choose a pricing plan from "Pricing" in the app admin.
Prerequisite: Even when testing on a development store, you need a test pricing plan contract. Under Shopify's specifications, test contracts are free.
Set the display mode and target conditions, then enable the delivery rule.
(1) Open Delivery rules
Open the app admin → "Delivery rules".
(2) Create a delivery rule
Select "Create rule".
(3) Set the delivery options and conditions and save
Configure the required fields and save.
You can configure the following for a delivery rule.
Field | Description |

Title | An internal name for the rule |
Display mode | Hide the specified delivery options, or show only the specified delivery options |
Delivery options | Shipping, pickup in store, or local delivery. For shipping, you can also specify shipping methods |
Languages | All languages, or specific languages |
Customers | All customers, customers with accounts, or guests |
Products | All items, specific collections, specific products, or specific product tags |
Orders | Order price, weight, cart attributes, or shipping destination |
Note: If you enable multiple "Show only the specified delivery options" rules, all delivery options may be hidden for a delivery group where the conditions overlap.
(4) Enable the delivery rule
In the delivery rules list, select the target rule and choose "Enable rules", or select "Enable" in the edit screen.
Proceed to checkout while meeting the configured conditions, and check how the delivery options are displayed.
With "Hide the specified delivery options," the specified delivery options are not shown
With "Show only the specified delivery options," only the specified delivery options are shown
If the configured conditions are not met, the delivery options available in Shopify are shown as they are
Note: With "Show only the specified delivery options," options for delivery types you have not selected are always hidden. Select every delivery type you use.
