Product-specific bundle limits is a feature that lets you set, for each product or variant, whether it can be purchased together with other products. You choose one of 7 bundle conditions, and for some conditions you specify the partner items it can (or cannot) be purchased with.
When you enable product-specific bundle limits, it uses only one checkout rule overall, regardless of how many products or variants are configured.
Prerequisite: Due to Shopify's limit, the checkout rules you can enable across quantity, price, weight, bundle, and customer rules combined are limited to 25 per store.
You want to set different bundle conditions for each product, such as purchase alone only or bundle with specific products only
You want a sample product to be purchasable only together with a specific main product
You want to vary the bundle condition by variant within the same product
You want to configure many products while keeping the checkout rules used to just one
Choose one of the following 7 conditions for each product. For how each one behaves and how it is checked, see "Product-Specific Bundle Limits: Settings".
Purchase alone only
Bundle with variants of the same product only
Bundle with products from the same vendor only
Cannot purchase alone
Bundle with selected products only
Cannot bundle with selected products
Requires a selected product
For "Bundle with selected products only", "Cannot bundle with selected products", and "Requires a selected product", you select partner items. You can select whole products or specific variants, up to 50 in total counting products and variants together. You cannot specify them by tag or collection.
You can set a common bundle condition for a product and override it individually only for the variants that need it. You can also exclude specific variants from the restriction. Because settings are made per product, each new product requires individual configuration.

You can enter and save the settings without a pricing plan. The Light plan or the Full plan is required when you enable the feature.
Prerequisite: To display product messages on the product page, enable the app embed in your main theme. If you only use the limit at checkout, the app embed is not required.
