Product Message Not Displaying

Causes and solutions when a product message is not being displayed.

Please note that the product message input form initially shows placeholder text only — nothing has actually been entered. If this is the cause, enter a product message and check again.

If this is the cause, enable the app embed and check again.

Our app's product messages rely on front-end processing to retrieve collection information. If a collection is not published, collection information cannot be accessed and the product message will not display. In contrast, the restriction check process runs server-side, so it can access collection information even when the collection is not published — meaning the restriction itself will still function correctly.

If this is the cause, please take one of the following actions:

  • Publish the relevant collection

  • Remove the relevant collection from the rule and specify the products directly (or specify a published collection instead)

Each rule supports a maximum of 50 products (or collections). If more than 50 are configured, product messages may not display for the items that exceed the limit. If this is the cause, reduce the number of products (or collections) to 50 or fewer.
