In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize. From the App embeds tab at the bottom left of the theme editor, enable RuffRuff Order Limits and save.
Note: If you skip this step, product messages will not be displayed on product pages.
In the app, go to Price rules
Click Create rule
Configure the following and save

Limit details | Minimum price, Maximum price, Price type (choose from Item total (before discounts), Item total (after discounts), Cart subtotal, or Grand total), and Applicability |
Eligible items | Choose from All items, Specific collections, Specific products, or Products with specific tags |
Product message | Message displayed on the product page (optional) |
Alert message | Message displayed when a restriction is violated |
A paid plan subscription is required to enable rules. Go to Pricing in the app to subscribe.
Note: Even when testing on a development store, subscribing to a paid plan (test mode) is required.
Change the rule's Status to Enabled in the rule list or edit screen. Add the eligible items to your cart at an amount that exceeds or falls below the limit, and verify that the alert message appears.
