Initial Setup (Bundle Limits)

This guide walks you through the steps to use bundle limits for the first time after installation.

Step 1: Enable the app embed

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize

  2. Select the App embeds tab at the bottom left of the theme editor

  3. Enable RuffRuff Order Limits and save

Note: If you skip this step, product messages will not be displayed on product pages.

Step 2: Create a rule

In the app, go to Bundle rules and click Create rule. Configure the following:

  • Title — Rule name for administrative purposes

  • Limit details — Bundle limit level

  • Eligible items — Choose from All items, Specific collections, Specific products, or Products with specific tags

  • Excluded items — Products to exclude from the rule

  • Product message — Message displayed on the product page (optional)

  • Alert message — Message displayed when a restriction is violated

Step 3: Subscribe to a paid plan

A paid plan subscription is required to enable rules. Go to Pricing in the app to subscribe.

Note: Even when testing on a development store, subscribing to a paid plan (test mode) is required.

Step 4: Enable the rule

Change the rule's Status to Enabled in the rule list or edit screen. Add the eligible items along with other products to your cart, and verify that the alert message appears.
